For our inaugural show on XRAY FM we welcomed Underslung, an acetate/vinyl DJ, record label owner, and sound system owner and operator based out of San Diego, California. With his label and sound system, Banana Stand Sound, Underslung has been working tirelessly to bring sound system music to the masses on the west coast and beyond. Already on their 3rd vinyl release after launching the label in 2015, Banana Stand Sound shows no sign of stopping, with their 4th release already penned and planned. This is a strictly vinyl operation, pressing each release onto 180 gram 12" vinyl with no digital releases. Sound system music in its purest format.
This mix features loads of exclusives and some forthcoming material from the label. The mix premiered first on our show early Saturday morning on the 28th of May, 2016, and will be hosted by the legendary FatKidOnFire blog thereafter.
